Five days into this great publishing adventure and End Storm has its very first review.
Many self-publishing authors rush to fill their pages on the day of publication with glowing reviews from friends and family. These reviews are usually quite obviously fake, sometimes laughably so, and often bear no relation to the actual content of the book.
I made a decision not to do that, so have had to sit and wait for those first golden stars to appear on my page courtesy of someone I have never met, and who owes me nothing.
The review is 5-star, and was posted on the book's Amazon.co.uk page. The reviewer said:

Really enjoyed reading this book. The author sets the scene very nicely and you're straight into the action from the first page. Loved the build up of suspense in parts and felt immersed in the story. I'm often disapointed with the endings of books, but I felt this one was rather good.
Couldn't put it down and read it in less than 2 days! Good luck to the author(s), I'll keep a look out for future titles.
A very nice zombie(ish) thriller.
I'm delighted with that write up! It's tempting to fret and panic when two years of hard work is released for public consumption. Will they like it? Will they hate it? Reading reviews like that suddenly makes it all worthwhile.
